What is the Purpose of an Individual Psychological Evaluation?

An individual psychological evaluation may be conducted to assess any combination of the following:

-
intellectual abilities
-
learning disabilities
-
attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder
-
behavior/conduct problems
-
autistic spectrum disorders
-
psychiatric disorders (such as anxiety disorders or depression)

Dr. Jaret tailors each evaluation to the individual needs of the client. These needs are determined based on information provided by the adult client, a child's parents, teachers and other sources. Information is gathered through an initial phone contact, a completed intake packet, and an initial meeting with the client and his or her parents, as appropriate.

Fees are determined by the nature of the referral and the procedures agreed upon. Dr. Jaret will discuss her fees and insurance billing with the client (or parent) during the initial phone contact.

Please phone or email Dr. Jaret to review your concerns and to determine whether a psychological evaluation may be indicated.
