About Dr. Jaret

Dr. Jaret holds a doctorate in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University.  She has more than twenty years experience in a public school setting, where she has worked with parents and students from preschool through the high school years.  In addition to school-age children, Dr. Jaret's private practice has included the assessment of college students who are experiencing academic and other challenges. Her experience includes both assessment and treatment.  Dr. Jaret's work on the Committee on Preschool Special Education and the Committee on Special Education provides her with a thorough understanding of the special education system in New York State.  Dr. Jaret has also spent seven years as the director of an inclusion program at an overnight summer camp, where she worked with children and teens with special needs to maximize their success in this intensive social environment.

 

Throughout her career, Dr. Jaret has pursued continued training in the identification and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and other cognitive, social and behavioral disorders. Dr. Jaret is a member of the American Psychological Association, the National Association of School Psychologists, the New York Association of School Psychologists, and the Westchester County Psychological Association.
